Quiet Valley Our Mission - Preserving the past for our future !
Quiet Valley Living Historical Farm is a 19th century Pennsylvania German farm dedicated to the preservation and education of rural farm life. Summer farm tour guides portray family members of the Johann Zepper descendents through story and hands on demonstrations. Special events, workshops and educational programs occur throughout the year, including summer day camps. Opportunities are available for home school students. Activities are appropriate for all ages.

Nestled in the Pocono Mountains of northeastern Pennsylvania, we are open to the general public for tours from the third Saturday in June through Labor Day plus extra spring and fall Saturdays with period-dressed "family" members re-enacting the life of the original Pennsylvania German family who lived on the farm from the 1760s to 1913. Check out our Calendar for extra things happening like our special events and read "A Common Thread" for a feel of our farm.

See Educational Programs for more information on available options for fall and spring school trips. Daycares and camps can sign up also for a summer tour of the farm. Please call 570-992-6161 or E-mail for group, school or bus tour reservations.

Visa and MasterCardVISA and MasterCard accepted. ATM on premises.

Please see our Directions page for the correct way to use GPS to find us and detailed directions from the major areas.

The last tour days this year:

Sunday, October 26, 1 to 5pm - . . . SPOOKY DAYS ON THE FARM . . .

Halloween on the FarmWe are open for public tours with a Halloween theme!

Learn some facts and fancies our Pennsylvania-German ancestors knew and believed. Hear the superstitions relating to planting, harvesting and barn building. Learn about some of the weird foods that they ate and how they were prepared. Visit the storyteller and hear some scary, and not so scary, stories for this spooky time of year. Take a wagon ride in the afternoon (FREE, weather permitting), join in singing some songs with our musician, and take a pony ride (extra charge, weather permitting). It promises to be a spooky day at Quiet Valley. Come out for a special treat as we share a look at the quirky and bazaar side of life in the 1800s!. Things get spookier after 5pm! (small children might enjoy daylight hours better) As the fall winds down, come on out and spend a leisure day touring our historic buildings and enjoying our animals! Admission will be $5 for children (ages 3–12) and $8 for adults.

Regular Farm Tours are the third Saturday in June through Labor Day. In the Fall, Winter, and Spring we have special openings and events and school/group tours. Check out our Calendar for more information on special days we are open and Events throughout the year!
